Welcome to Asbury Dunwell Church

We are a Christian congregation, which confesses the Lord Jesus as God and Saviour in accordance with the scriptures. Members shall be united in Christ as a worshipping, teaching, witnessing and servicing community. Members shall endeavour to work together to the Glory of God, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

The purpose of the Church shall be to glorify God primarily through the building up of the Body of Christ in worship, teaching and discipleship, and through the proper development of the gifts of the congregation resulting in ministry to others.

The Church shall seek to keep the Great Commandments (Mark 12: 30 31) and to carry out the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19 20).

Vision

The Church shall glorify God primarily through the building up of the body of Christ in worship, teaching and discipleship and through the proper development of the gifts of the congregation resulting in ministry to others and to carry out the Great commission (Matt 28:19-20) it shall seek to keep the great commandments (Mark 12:30-31).

Mission

To honour God in all we do,To provide a place where people can come and know that they have met with Jesus Christ, To be a church of well-balanced mature Christians of Christlike character, who are using the gifts that God has given them, to build up the body of Christ and to go out to impact the community and the world.

Membership

Membership of Asbury Dunwell Church shall consist of Members: Publicly accepting Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Saviour, Believing the Bible to be the revealed word of God, Supporting the church family with your prayers, your presence, your gifts and your service, Receiving Christian Baptism as a Believer.

Church Ministries

The Ministry of Helps

At ADC, we believe that the helps ministry is not an obligation or assignment; it is serving others. In this vein, the ministry lends relief and support to members of the church in times of need. As members we are charged to be united in Christ as a worshipping, teaching, witnessing, and servicing community.

Evangelism and Outreach

Through both our actions and our words, the Evangelism and Outreach ministry seeks to bring the word of God to people across the world. With faith, we aim to fulfill the Great Commission: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”

The Worship Ministry

Responsible for the following

Organizing the musical aspects of worship.
Leading the Church during worship.
Coordinating the order of service to ensure that worship proceeds in an orderly, timely, biblical, and spirit-filled manner.

The Discipleship Ministry

This ministry is responsible for supporting the growth of Members as disciples of our Lord, Jesus Christ though Home Care groups and other relevant activities of the church. • A Home Care Group is a small group in home areas of members who meet to study the Word of God, pray, and support each other.

The Children’s Ministry

The Children’s ministry endeavours that each child who attends ADC knows and experiences God’s love for themselves. Classes are purposed towards teaching kids to love each other and to serve God with all their hearts, as well as how to share the love of Jesus with others. The ministry holds classes on Sundays that cater for different age groups from toddlers to teens.
